New to Connect Groups? Here are some frequently asked questions to help you get started.

Q: What are Connect Groups?

A: Connect Groups are the way in which we meet as a church regularly to learn more about being followers of Jesus. Connect Groups, the Shoal Creek small group program, is specially designed to give believers and those actively seeking to know more about God a place to gather, fellowship, and connect.

Q: Do I have to be a church member to participate in a Connect Group?

A: No! Connect Groups are a great, low key way for you to get to know more about Shoal Creek, what our family is like, and how God can minister to you here. Church membership is not a requirement to join and participate in a Connect Group.

Q: What day/time do Connect Groups meet?

A: Connect Groups are hosted at different times and on different days depending on the needs of each group. Don’t see a group that is meeting on the day/time you need? It may be time to form a new group! Contact us at if you don’t see an upcoming Connect Group in the list above.

Q: What do Connect Groups study?

A: The short answer is anything and everything associated with helping us become more devoted followers of Jesus. Although the content of each Connect Group may vary, the central theme is to help us know more about Jesus and what it means to be constantly growing in our faith. Each upcoming Connect Group includes a quick blurb about the topic of the group. Don’t see the topic you’re looking for? Reach out to us at and let us help you get plugged in.

Q: Who can lead a Connect Group?

A: Connect Group leaders are members of Shoal Creek who have demonstrated a desire to grow and help others grow in their faith and knowledge of Jesus.
